HOW IT WORKS

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured in an oven to allow it to cross-link. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating is used to coating anything metal.

HOW MANY COLORS DOES POWDERCOATING OFFER?

Virtually any variation of color on the spectrum can be found in powder form. If you already have a color in mind, bring it in so that we can match it as closely as we can without sacrificing quality. Chances are we'll have more than one option for you to choose from.

WHAT MAKES THE POWDER "STICK"?

The powder is charged via an electrostatic process, while the part is attached to a ground wire. This causes the powder to cling to the metal throughout the baking process.

DOES K.L. VINCENT DO SANDBLASTING ONLY?

If our customer prefers to apply their own coating, we can sandblast only to prep the surface.
